Proving your identity

You’ll need to show us photo ID such as an Australian driver’s license, passport, Digital iD or Keypass (in-store only)

Alternatively, provide one of each of the following at a Post Office:

• A document with your name and Australian residential address, or
• A document with your signature, such as a student card or Statutory Declaration

In addition to photo ID such as an Australian Driver’s license, passport or Digital iD, you will need to provide one of the following concession cards for each applicant:

• Pensioner Concession Card
• Health Care Card (all types)
• Commonwealth Seniors Health Card
• Department of Veterans' Affairs Card
• Veterans' Repatriation Health Card
• MyPost Concession Card (note: this card has the cardholder's name printed on it. If the application form is for multiple persons at the same address, a valid concession card must be produced for each individual.)
  
  

If you operate a home business, trust or Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) from home, you may be eligible for a reduced fee.
 

Eligibility

You need to lodge your application at a Post Office and be an authorised person such as a managing partner, company secretary, trustee or other agent.

Please bring with you:

• written authorisation that you have the authority to act on behalf of the business or organisation. The authorisation must be on official letterhead and include the full name and residential address of the agent. It must be signed by an authorised person of the business or organisation
•  proof of identity of the person lodging the application, as per the requirements for "personal mail - applying in store"
• an original or certified copy of the Business Registration Certificate (if applicable)
• for a club or association, a certified copy of the minutes of the Annual General Meeting appointing the office-holders
• for a company or company trustee, the company seal must be applied to the application, next to the Director or trustee's signature.
